Beauty Crew Requirements

  • Punctuality: Arrival at all events and appointments should be 15 minutes in advance of the designated time. Ensure that you are fully set up and prepared to attend to clients promptly as per the scheduled start time.

  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance consistently. Avoid wearing low-cut tops, short skirts or dresses, sweatpants, or jean shorts.

  • Substance Use: Please refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages while on the clock.

  • Workspace Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of your workspace to the best of your ability.

We encourage our crew to share their work and celebrate our amazing clients on social media! To ensure consistency and professionalism, please follow these guidelines:

Client Content: Client content may be shared on social platforms under the following conditions:

  • Proper credit is attributed to Salty Skin + Hair and the content is appropriately tagged.

Join the Salty Skin + Hair Referral Program

Our talented team is growing, and we’re excited to offer a referral program to show appreciation for those who help us expand our Salty Skin + Hair family. If you’re part of our team, here’s how you can earn bonuses:

  • Bride Referrals: Receive $10 for each bride you refer who books with us! Simply have them mention your name in the “Who referred you to us?” section of their inquiry form, and we’ll credit you once their booking is confirmed.

  • Artist Referrals: Know someone who would be a great fit for our team? Earn $100 for each new artist you refer who joins us and completes three weddings!

Makeup Artists

Your level of sanitation and organization is readily apparent to clients, and we take pride in our brand’s reputation for having well-maintained and hygienic kits.

Personal Equipment:

  • Please provide your own lighting and chair. This allows you to customize your workspace for optimal performance and client comfort.

Strict Sanitation Practices:

  • Maintaining a sanitary environment is paramount. Sanitize your hands, brushes, and tools before starting every client. This guarantees a fresh and hygienic experience for each individual.

Product Management:

  • Regularly review your product inventory and remove any outdated or expired items. Replace mascara tubes every 3 months, and disinfect lip, brow, and eye pencils after each use to prevent cross-contamination. Stains and makeup remnants are unacceptable.

Brush Cleaning Procedures:

  • We understand the importance of maintaining your brushes. However, on-location or between-client cleaning methods are not recommended due to hygiene concerns. Disposable beauty blenders or applicators are acceptable for single-use applications.

Lash Selection:

  • To provide our clients with a variety of options, please bring your own selection of false eyelashes. Our preferred styles include Ardell Lash Trios and Individuals, Ardell Wispies, Ardell Demi Wispies, Naked 421, 420, 422, Kiss Lash Trios, Kiss Pageboy, and Kiss Shy. Feel free to expand this selection with additional styles that complement our brand aesthetic.

Hairstylists

Be Prepared & Professional:

  • Tools of the Trade: Please supply your own extension cord and/or power strip to ensure you’re ready to style without limitation.

Hygiene is Key:

  • Cleanliness Counts: Maintain a professional + sanitary environment. Sanitize your hands, brushes + tools before starting with every client. This includes combs, clips, scissors, and any other equipment used during the styling process.

  • Hot Tool Hygiene: Keep your hot tools and irons in top condition. Regularly clean them to remove product build-up and residue that can damage hair and affect styling performance.

Additional Considerations:

  • Continuing Education: We encourage you to stay at the forefront of your craft! Pursue continuing education opportunities to learn new techniques and expand your skillset. We’re always here to help!

  • Inventory Management: Ensure you have a sufficient stock of styling products (hairspray, mousse, gel, etc.) to meet client needs.

  • Time Management: Be mindful of appointment times and work efficiently to ensure a smooth experience both for you and your clients.
